Ahh the good old days… The days when even kid movies weren’t afraid to be dark and creepy. And even though the 80s and 90s brought us some weird and dark ones, they all came with incredible messages that are totally relatable to real life scenarios! Does ANYONE like to think about sadness, loss, problems and death? Of course not, but those are all things that exist and are introduced to us at some point or another. The fact that I came from a generation that could HANDLE all of those themes with the dark settings and creepy characters… I am grateful! To say that some kid movies today completely reflect the KIDS out there today… yikes.
